    As someone who is from the northeast, I spent three years in Miami before finding anything resembling a homey, inexpensive, delicious diner. Burger Bobs did the trick for me. Excellent food, good service, great prices.

    It's pretty basic. The food is good and the prices are great. I had an omelette, my kids shared the pancakes, and a friend had a bagel with jam.
    They only take cash though, so be prepared. They open super early, which is a plus.

    Old school diner style like I'm used to in the northeast, but the burger was underwhelming. For a place called "Burger Bob's"; in business since forever, the burgers better be Ah-mazing, and they weren't. I got the cheeseburger with bacon, onions, L&T, with fries. The price is very reasonable, all of this was about $8.00, but the meat didn't taste like anything. Thank goodness for the cheese, bacon and onions, bc otherwise, it would've just been bland. The fries were absolutely nothing special run-of-the-mill fries. I went out of my way to go try this burger for myself bc I heard they were great! I definitely don't agree with that opinion. Nonetheless, great little diner in coral gables (located right at the entrance to the golf course INSIDE the golf pro shop.) I'm sure this place has a long list of Gables regulars, but my burger experience was not up to par - pun intended.

    Bob is an ex-military guy who runs this place as his retirement gig. He's been manning the cash register here for 25 years. His young and capable staff does everything else, and service is quick and generally efficient. Breakfast is classic and inexpensive. Burgers are simple but well made. Cash only.

    I think I have found my go-to​ breakfast place. Has a diner feel to it, there is even a counter to sit at. The breakfast was pretty good for the price. The staff was very attentive and the food came out pretty quick. The omelet​ was a little overcooked​ but it was still very good. What can I say it is a hidden gem. Lots of folks coming and going tells me my experience was not an anomaly​. I will be back but don't tell your friends I don't want​ to have​ to wait too long for a table.
